Twenty pupils from the Edinburgh Girl’s High School, Engcongolweni, Malawi took part in the Edinburgh Tattoo by invitation, singing, dancing and taking part in an item on children’s games. They formed a guard of honour with pupils from the Mary Erskine School, Edinburgh for visiting dignitaries each evening.
Close friendships were formed with girls from the Mary Erskine School through home stays and many outings organised by the school.
